The City of Johannesburg is recruiting for the following positions:

EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Educators

Educators will conduct door-to-door community outreach programmes focusing on:

  • HIV/AIDS awareness
  • Tuberculosis (TB) education
  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • Substance abuse prevention
  • Reducing stigma and discrimination
  • Referrals to health and social support services

Monthly Stipend: R4,000

EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinators

Site Coordinators will:

  • Supervise outreach teams
  • Monitor educator performance
  • Conduct quality assurance activities
  • Compile reports
  • Liaise with Regional Health officials

Monthly Stipend: R4,300

EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Data Coordinators

Data Coordinators will assist with programme data collection, administration, reporting and record management.

Monthly Stipend: As determined by the City of Johannesburg.

Minimum Requirements for Educators

Applicants must:

  • Have Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Reside within the ward they are applying for
  • Have knowledge of HIV/AIDS, TB and STI programmes
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Have basic report-writing abilities
  • Be computer literate
  • Be able to use electronic devices
  • Have knowledge of email and internet usage
  • Provide an affidavit confirming no criminal record
  • Provide proof of residence and ward confirmation

Minimum Requirements for Site Coordinators

Applicants must:

  • Have Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Have at least one year of experience in HIV/AIDS door-to-door education
  • Be computer literate
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Reside within the ward where they apply
  • Provide proof of residence
  • Submit an affidavit confirming no criminal record

Preference will be given to applicants with community outreach leadership experience.

Region C

Braamfischer, Jukskei, Doornkop, Cosmo City, Zandspruit and Tshepisong.

Region D

Naledi, Orlando East, Jabavu, Dlamini and Zondi.

Region E

Klipfontein, Wynberg, Marlboro and Orchards.

Region F

Bellavista, South Hills, Joubert Park, Berea and Denver.

Region G

Orange Farm, Finetown, Lawley, Protea South, Lehae and Freedom Park.
